Damn right it's system dependent. I've been running my new quad (thanks to Mr. McShane) of EH KT-88s in my CJ Premier Eleven-A for 100 hours now and find them very fine tubes indeed. Certainly a different 'sound' than the SED 6550Cs I was previously running, but altogether very enjoyable. Imaging on my better recordings is really 3-D, almost like a good SET. Don't be afraid to try these...
