Read The Killer Piglet's review carefully. He is describing the sound of the tube in triode mode it seems, and I can tell you from experience that the EH tube is not particularly remarkable in triode.The EH is a much better tube in pentode or ultralinear than it is in triode.
Yes, the ultimate tube set for your amp is a set of good KT-90 Ei, but they're really hard to find.
