Thanks...I guess the major question I have is "how will I know when it's time to replace them?". Will they start making noise, or does the sound just degrade gradually? If the latter, it's obviously much trickier. As someone suggested, of course I can replace and find out if things sound better. I'd rather not buy new tubes unless I really need to, though.
