Low level signal tubes should last at least 10000 hours of use. And probably much longer than that. This is "on" time, tubes last forever when sitting idle (no heater, no B+). assuming that you use the CD player 4 hours every day, the tubes would last almost 7 years. Something else may break on the player before then...
