I have not heard an LS15 so I can't say how it compares. I tried a lot of preamps and chose an LS25 to go with my VT100. I never got a chance to hear the LS16 so I don't know how it compares to the LS15. But If you like the more classic ARC look. I would see if you could hear a used LS16 also. If you have a ARC dealer near you I would see what they have used. Take a few weeks and borrow everything that looks interesting. There is no substitute for auditioning a piece at home in your system.
