Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |
|
hello fellow inmates.
i have a vintage guitar tube amp "Custom Kraft". 8 inch speaker, but no impedance designation. no schematic. i read on this site that:"here's a quick and dirty "easy" way which is accurate enough
measure the resistance between the terminals with an ohm meter
multiply it by 1,25
this is close to the impedance "but the amp is 40 years old and I don't want to assume that it has the correct, original speaker in it.
So, how do I determine what load the OT is expecting?
thanks!p.s amp has 3 tubes (12au6, 35w4, 50c5)
