I've had many tubes, known to be absolutely NOS that had these spots. Especially military tubes, BENDIX, and U.S. NOS smaller signal types, especially Sylvania have them. Some companies actually burned tubes in and tested them. Good ol'American QC...what ever happened to that???"I KNOW you can hear it, but are you REALLY listening?"
