Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ

Re: did VALVO make bugleboys for Amperex?

thanks for everyones input ...I have 3 tubes I bought as "Amperex BB's ECC82 & made in Holland " of course they were not cheap ...
when I received them I noticed that they looked different than my other BB's ...the D getter ( w/ flat thin metal on the flat side ) was spot welded to the top of the plate retainer at an angle
they seem fatter than the reg. BB's but have the 4 ridges on the top of the tube .
the codes are : k62 directly over D6J ...I realize that the D is Hamburg ...but I was recently told that the K was great Britain ....?
comparing the 'look ' to other Valvo /Hamburg type tubes ( seen online ) they seem close ...especially the getter part
however the white BB lettering & graphic seem a little 'different' too ..the color is dirty white ..again unlike most of my other BB's ..
and there is kind of thin film around the lettering in a square ...it is a little rough ( but rubs off easily as does the lettering )
it is like a background around the graphic ...it is also in little square on the lower half of the tube too ...behind the gray codes
most of my other tubes are an acid type of etch that will not rub off but the gray paint removes easily too ...is this normal ?
I wonder what I have here ?...anyone have ANY ideas it is appreciated !
oh the tubes don't sound particularly bad ...a little bright w/ considerably less of the mid warmth ...usually associated w/ Heerlen production
thanks
Bernard
