there is no risk from the heater load. It could be that some amps don't have enough bias supply headroom to allow it. There is nothing of consequence different between a Dynaco Mk.II and Mk.III, save for one used EL34 and the other 6550/KT88. The load is the same, the driver circuit is the same...If you can be sure of what is going on inside/under the hood you'll be OK. That you had to ask brings this point into question IMO( nothing personal you understand ).
Jay, what in particular did you have in mind to say it's not OK?
