Tried the 5751 route,RCA and GE. Not any better than the EI 12ax7 in there when I got it. Truthfuly I think the lower gain worked against things. I had some National Japanese 12ax7 laying around and threw them in the 1st position Phono and line....HMMMM, on to something. Long story short, I settled on an all Amperex line up, all 12ax7 and 6922. I briefly had some Tele's in the first spot but not with the present compliment. Soon to be explored I suppose..
