ID-ing some Genelex Gold MonarchKT88 - Help appreciated

Good morning inmates,
I have a pair of used Genelex Gold Monarch KT88 here that I may purchase from a friend or allow him to use as trade for gear. I see so many different versions of these that it's confusing. Can someone help me determine the vintage and value of these so I can make a reasonable offer on them?
The thing is though....I do not need them...my MC75 would need four, meaning Ive gotta spend who knows how much for another pair.
The branding:
Tannish gold lettering, a crown over a square with KT88 in the square,
Gold Monarch in fancy lettering under the square. Genelex Made in UK under the fancy lettering.
Original Oldies? More recent?
