Correction-- should read "the Shuguangs are $60 less a quad than the JJs." BTW the "Penta" IS a Shuguang; as of late my enquiries to Penta reveal that the solid plate GEC copy Shuguang KT88SC is being replaced by Penta with the KT88-98; I think the solid plate one may sound a TINY bit better, but the KT88-98 is superior on the whole. You can still request the solid plate version of the Shuguang from Penta, but the price is WAY up. Get the KT88-98 from the tube store.com; as cheap as superTNT... and the tube store is in Canada and has customer service that is tough to beat on the sales volume they do. And no, I'm not shilling for anyone or anything; just stating opinions and trying to share my experiences with buying different tubes from diff. vendors. If I knew an Asylum sponsor that sells Shuguang, I'd recommend them!
