I received a matched quad of KT77s from Eurotube today, rushed them home and installed them in my ST70 (Curcio premium upgrade, already a monster). I set the bias per Joe's rec of 1.25v. My initial impression was something like "The King and His Clothing." You know,
what's wrong with me; why can't I hear any difference. So I'm sitting here doing something on the computer, when all of a sudden I look up and think, who's playing my drums which are set up in the dining room? Hay, that's the Diane Reeves tune playing through my new tubes, and now, I can hear it: incredible sound stage. The speakers have disappeared, and the band is floating around the room. Very cool. I like the tubes, and they are 40 minutes old. Lord, please do not turn me into a tube roller. I got kids to school. Mercy me.
