Question for you engineer types, on EL84 tubes, the books say optimum B+ voltage should be about 250 volts to 300 volts, and current should be an average 48 mills or less. Can one take the voltage to 500 volts and then lower the current down to 25 mills will the tube survive, or will the tube arc and fail?
