What is the tube life on this beast? At 4 hours a day, is a year about right? What are the sonic symptoms of aging tubes? Is bias drift something to look for? Do other owners change the front end 6SN7 as well as KT88s?
This is my first year with these amps and at $500 or more per tube change, I don't want to jump the gun. But I don't want to run this set into the ground, either...In the past, with amps that are less expensive to re-tube I would simply change tubes once a year or so.
Any information appreciated.
