It takes to get tubes close to fully warmed up, and that it seems to me they sound pretty darn good even after 5 minutes, just doesn't justify (for me of course) turning my system on and leaving it on when I am not listening. Especially if you are listening to NOS. The warm-up period is very short compared to the amount of time you would be leaving it on and not listening. Just turn it on when you want to listen, off when you don't. IMHO.
