Disk Union, in Tokyo (2 locations) for used Jazz in pristine condition ("used" in Japan often means opened and looked at, but never played).There you will find Japanese pressings of records you never thought you would see, and your friends will hate you for it. If you don't mind spending 30 or so bucks on a magazine, check out "Analogue", "Stereo Sound", "Tube Kingdom", etc. They are comprehensive and entertaining, even for those who don't read Japanese- the photos are wonderful. If you do indeed like Jazz, find one of the many Jazz "coffee houses" which are often crammed with vintage vinyl. You sip whiskey or beer and request what recordings you would like to hear. The hi-fis in these places are frequently amazing- vintage JBL's, Tannoy's, and Altecs, with single-ended or push- pull tube amps. Great way to spend an evening...
