I was the buyer of the ebay KT90II that Jim McShane mentioned..$225 for 4 type IIs. And they sound great in my D70II. I decided to bite the bullet and go for it instead of wasting time trying to find them cheaper.Only other tube I tried was what the amp came with - Chinese KT-88s Golden Lion or something like that. They had a nice mid, but no bottom end.
