Ei KT90 Type I compatibality / prices?

Is this tube compatible to the Type 2 and 3's. I know they are never seen these days. But dis come accross some VTL amps with the tubes still in them - dont know how they test though but wondering if it's worth collecting them. They are exactly as shown - with the red VTL silk screen.

Any difference sonically, it was rumoured that the type 3's are the best sounding (short of the latest production) Are the type 2's which are not available not good as well?
