i have a set of of gray glass rca vt-231s relabled as sylvanias too. they sound exactly the same as other gray glass rcas that i have. 6sn7gt's are pretty much the same as vt-231's. the only real difference as far as i know is that the vt-231 might have better (closer) specs, as it was intended for millitary use. one may also speculate as to how many more vt-231s there are around, as 6sn7's were sold to the general public, not stocked in warehouses somewhere (or nowhere).
