My 6SN7-based preamps (Cary SLP-98P and now the new SLP-05) and also the 6SL7 based Cary PH-302 phono stage....have fantastic airy highs with the wonderful tinkly high-freq details that really draw one into the music. It is essential to use good NOS tubes to achieve this. That is the secret.
