Has anybody with an amp that uses the 6SL7/6SN7 tube type notice a top end roll off with their amps? I've heard a couple of different tubed amps that had the 6LS7/6SN7 in their circuits, and to my ears there seemed to be a lack of top end air and transparency in those amps. I've heard good things about the Cary SLA-70 and I'm thinking of buying one, but I haven't had the opportunity to personally audition the '70 and I'm concerned that, based on the other 6SL7 equipped amps that I've heard, the '70 will sound rolled off in the upper treble region. Anyone care to comment?
