I have building tube amplifiers since 1964. During that time, I have witnessed EVERY possible tube failure imaginable!In 1966, I built a tube power amp that used a 3-500Z transmitting tube in a SET configuration. Foolishly, I wet my finger and touched the hot glass, and it exploded! That taught me a painful lesson.
As a manufacturer of tube amps, how dare you (a tube dealer) instruct me!
It's reckless people like you, and your equally flawed logic, that makes manufactures like me produce battleship constructed amps.
My advice is this: Don't second-guess the engineer!
