EHKT88 vs TADKT88--UPDATE

I have about 50-60 hours on the tubes and the sound has changed tremendously. I heard at the begginning of the break in process what I thought was some glare and some sort of veil over the sound, the equating that of a solid state amp. Now that I have a few hours more on these tubes, I have been trying my reference albums with them. The sound is open, coherent, precise, but not in an analytical sense,, the highs are exteneded over the TADKT88's. I would not recommened using these tubes with silver interconnects because of that extended frequency range. I played some Chuck Mangione, Chidren of Sanchez and listend to the trumpet erupt out of music scene. A portion of the song has a triangle solo with the trumpet in more of background, this is a good test, the sound of the triangles should sound natural, not tinny or buzzing when striked, the triangles should also resonate with each strike. You should hear each triangle as a seperate instrument and not veiled. I think I am reaching the tube niveau with these new ones. The bass is more taught yet still not as deep as the TADKT88's. Hopefully the bass will get a little deeper as I rack up the hours, or I will need to re-synch and equalize the subwoofer with the main speakers again because of the lack of the deep bass.
