I think Mcintosh uses the EH kt88 in the new mc275 and in their other amps Im not sure..I do like the penta labs kt88sc which is a shuguang but it would be intersting to hear the EH..I was on the verge of trying a pair of sed kt88s but you have convinced me to give the EHs a try. I do know that the EH 6CA7s that Im using in my marantz 8 are accolades better than the xf2 mullards that I took out of it. Yes they were up to spec mullies but they didnt have the midrange bloom or control of the fat bottle EH 6ca7s.
