My amp is a CJ Premier Eleven-A. These are only 50 watts per channel or so, so I can't imagine my problem is too much power. I'm using Vandy 2ce speakers-only 'medium' efficiency. The volume pot on my PV-12A has always had a bit of channel imbalance around the 8 to 9 o'clock range. From what I've read these Alps and other similar conductive plastic pots all have some degree of low-level channel imbalance issues at low volumes. It affects me regardless of source-tuner, CD whatever. I have a 50K DACT stepped attenuator that I intend to retrofit into my PV-12 when I get enough motivation, as this will involve some Dremel work to open up the shaft hole.
