As Tom wrote, the Druid's 11-Ohm impedance ought to work VERY well with OTL amps. I suggest the Atma-Sphere S-30 Mk. III, a 30WPC stereo amp that would have a little more power with 11-Ohm speakers. This new version isn't so industrial looking. Of course, try before you commit.You also might try a c-j MV60, in triode, of course...25WPC with EL34s. Another suggestion...ASL 805s. They're SETs, 50 Watts for HUGE dynamics with the Druid, and have a VERY nice, rich (warm?) sound. And I have a greatly improved pair surplus; they just didn't have enough power for my inefficient speakers. E-mail me at jeffreybehr(at)cox(dot)net if you're interested.
