it is a rather difficult matching process with speakers this sensitive to upstream equipment. On paper an OTL should work fine (speakers have relatively high nominal impedance), but OTLs have their own sonic signatures depending on the tube and circuit used.
Also you are getting to the point where the quality of the recording takes on more and more importance. Since each setup will emphasize different aspects of the recording, do not be too quick to impute a system's strengths and weaknesses to a particular amplifier in itself.
Too many audiophiles switch out equipment too often because a component will sound great with a particular kind of music only to fall apart on another kind.
