I use the Mullard ECC83 (12AX7) in my homebrew amp and my EICO ST40, and my Bogen Preamp and amp, and in a number of other applications. I find that overall, they are the best of the best in the systems that I have. I put some RCA 12AX7's in my Bogen and they seem to do a little better on the top end, but over all, the Mullards are hard to beat. And the Mullards seem to last forever.roN
