I've tried the Svetlana "Winged C" 6L6GC's and thought they were o-k.
A good tube, but not quite the special midrange of the GE 6L6GC's.A new tube that comes pretty close to the GE is the TAD 6L6WGC-STR. It sounds good with a midrange approaching the GE's.
As in most things, a lot of this is system dependent.
