Hi... Does any company make new KT77's ? Why are these tubes so rare ? Is the KT77 always an exact replacement for EL34's in all cases? I was told by VTL that i couldn't use them in my amp , but never told why . I'm guessing that they use a higher voltage to achieve the nessasary performance ,and the power supplies in my amp aren't up to that for extended periods? Thanks Kevin Davis
