I've been burned only once by an Audigon tube transaction. I've been burned over a dozen times by ebay transactions. And this is no small sampling size either (well over 500 transactions). Audiogon (thus far) is comprised of a more honest, knowledgable community of like-minded hobbyists. Exceptions, of course, exist. But you'll rarely find an Audiogon seller advertising a 6DJ8 and 12AX7 as a "matched pair" as you often do at ebay.

I've noticed tube prices have gone up recently in Audiogon. Perhaps this is a byproduct of their rate hikes. There's definitely far less tube listings today then there was a year ago.
