I have a Unison S2K tube amplifier with 2 KT88 and I tried to roll them with Genalex TT21 but I got ugly noises from my speakers when I turned the amplifier on, volume 0. So I turned it immediately off. The datasheet of the Genalex says that it can replace a KT88 in any case. What went wrong? What can I do?
