I have a strong recollection of being told, back in the day, that the assembly contractor for the Fried Beta was John Sollecito. He had a workshop and factory in Connecticut. I visited there once.
Sollecito was the same guy who collaborated with Richard Modaferri on the "Infinite Slope" crossover. Solleccito's JSE loudspeakers were often advertised in "$ensible $ound" magazine. I also heard that he and Modaferri fell out acrimoniously.
