I didn't notice the Computer Speaker forum. That might have been more apropos for this thread. I'll take a look there.

I'm not opposed to kits. My desk setup consists of a pair of Madisound kit speakers with 4" fullrange Fostek drivers, a Dayton Audio Class D amp, and a Warfdale 6" passive sub I bought off Ebay years ago. It works very well together. It's something about that size that I'm looking for for my wife's desk; but maybe a 2.1 amp might be hipper than a passive sub.
