RE: Even with his box speakers, his sensitivity specs have not proven to be accurate.

Given how deceptive these specs are it's not surprising his other specs may be off. But this spec given the need for tons of power to equalize the bass response seems way, way off. Plus as I think, if I read his design correctly, the speaker is not fully open baffle and that seems to include much of the mid range and all of the highs.
