KEF LS60 Experience

I used a pair of KEF KC62 subs with my LS50 Metas, so when I switched to LS60s I connected them to the subs and set the KEF Connect app accordingly. But to get the house ready to sell I hoped to make my audio setup inconspicuous so the stager wouldn't want it removed. I eliminated the Ayre components and the subs, pushed the LS60s to the wall, and made the appropriate adjustments in the Connect app. I listened and was very disappointed. I couldn't believe the LS60s were so light on bass. I returned to the Connect app with the idea of tweaking only to find it hadn't saved my previous settings. It still assumed I was using two KC62 subs and not close to a wall. I reset the app and listened again. The magic had returned. So I listened a lot, and concluded the LS60s have such well controlled substantial bass they really don't need a sub. The subs do give a bit more of the more-felt-than-heard vibration with pipe organ pedal notes. I'd be quite happy with the LS60s against the wall and without subs. Just need Roon via Ethernet direct to the LS60s.

Of course once I've moved I'll reinstall the Ayre DX-5 DSD and subs. Why not?
