Without looking at my old spec sheets (buried away somewhere), I seem to recall that Scan's "budget" line includes clones of a number of the most popular classic Vifa drivers. Still a bit spendy, though not compared to the higher end Illuminator and Revelator drivers, but they ARE still made in Denmark with (most likely) stricter QC than might be expected from the Chinese-made Vifa/Peerless drivers now available.

Enjoy your revised project. I'm sure it sounds really nice. Mr. K is a talented and respected designer, and was a valued member of the online DIY community for many years. I guess he finally burned out, and found other hobbies.
