Could anyone tell me how long speakers last before their performance begins to decline?I have an opportunity to purchase an 8 year old pair of ProAc Response 3.5's for about $3,000 (originaly price was $10,000). I am wondering if I would be better off taking that money and putting it towards a new pair of more affordable speakers (e.g. Energy Veritas, PSB Platinum, etc.).
