There are many 3D sound processors out there which sound amazing. This mean that some designers have a mastery of the 3D effects. Since they can actually market 3D products a lot of R&D and money goes into the effort. Who is going to spend the money just the measure the 3D effects of stereo speakers?BTW I always liked the effects I got from Bob Carvers Sonic Holography when played on phase coherent speakers. That technology has been taken much further.
