I'm reasonably happy with the ATC SIA2-150. I used it with the SCM12 previously and expected quite a dip in performance with the 35's third driver but was suprised to not notice much difference. After some time I got a better sense of where dynamics were no longer keeping pace with volume output (10:00-11:00 on the volume) depending upon the material played. Of course some new maximized remasters are so loud I can't get much past 9:00. My biggest peeve with the SIA2-150 is lack of preamp out/power-in connections; I can't get a good tube preamp into the chain or add another power amp.If what's playing happens to be well recorded/mastered, the ATC amp/speaker combo is such that any thought of sonic deficiencies are completely banished; it's difficult to imagine what better could be. I sure haven't heard better in hifi shops with more expensive gear (Simaudio/Spendor/Esoteric/Cary/Living Voice/Mcintosh/Vandersteen,etc).
