Home Speaker Asylum

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

Green Mountain Audio Europas. I think there is a max version too. A friend has the Europas. I get to hear them once in a while. I hooked them up to my own system in a better room and he was floored by the sound. Now he's updating his electronics. :) I found the Europas so intoxicating for the money that I contacted the owner of the company just to say Kudos. I think the Europas got me closer to the music than my Revel F30s did but the Revels bass is great.

If you need even higher WAF, the Sonus Faber wall Domus will work too. It's an on wall speaker. I copied these with my own drivers and crossover and used maple panels for the sides. The WAF is rather high and they sound good enough to impress my friends who work at Bose but so far they are certainly not ready. The Sonus Faber measures and sounds better than mine. When I get some spare time, I'll see if I can take care of that. :)

The Europas are a notch up from the Sonus Faber. They sound more seamless and the bass is stronger and more articulate.
