I saw some Bozzio stuff on YouTube. He's great with polyrhythm, but he has a disconcerting quirk- He has a hard time with getting consistent spacing between light quick beats. The type you often hear with the better drumlines of marching bands.But on the other hand, he's one of few rock drummers who actually tries them. Whenever I hear the spacing done right, it's actually hair-raising to listen to in itself. I think this was what separated Buddy Rich from the pack.
