I think most of all because of the harmony and production
(emphasizing abovementioned harmony(in conjunction with the production (of the albums)))
It was a heartbreak when I finally seen them live:
Winterland in SF USA ~ 1968 or 1969 ?
A trio (don't know which 3 ?)
They were terrible:
Off key singing, and couldn't remember the words.
Sort of a travesty :(
