You gotta ask yourself one question, what do you like better CSN debut or Deja Vu? and could Deja Vu have been made without Young? How would it sound without Young? The output of the various combinations has produced some great albums, hell I know people that like Buffalo Springfield and the Byrds better than anything that came after. With or without Young CSN is great. I actually prefer their harmonies without Young in the mix. I do feel Neil Young was better solo than with CSN, I mean what are the songs that really shine on 4 way street....."Don't let it bring you down" is one of them, which is without the other 3 guys. Crosby's first solo album with Phil Lesh and Garcia has always been a favorite too. In the end its one personality too many. Young shines on his own, but he's not essential to CSN. That's how I feel about it.
