Well on the first couple of listens i think the new double album is a good one, however, it might be just a tad too long as well. 2 hours is a long time to dedicate to one listening period. Some of the songs even remind me of the early days of RHCP, but only a couple. The album pretty much sounds like what the band has done over the last 15 years which isn't a bad thing. i guess the other thing is that there really isn't any musical difference from disc 1 or disc 2. the foo fighters at least had a double album where each disc was distinctly different from the other (rock verses acoustic).my biggest complaint? the album cover!!! this has got to be the worst album cover i've seen in a very long time and certainly expected something a bit more original from the chili's.
i'm waiting fo the vinyl version as well!!!
