was that MATURE Beatles compositions share next-to-nothing from early rock and roll. Teeny-bopper early Beatles I have no respect for. Sgt. Pepper is so far removed from "I want to hold your hand" that I don't even care if "I want to hold your hand" had inspiration or melodies or lyrics or arrangement with something from Elvis or Haley. Therefore, any talk of Beatles influences seems moot unless you take the early era Beatles seriously.Still, thanks for the educational help offered by the other posters.
