I've read about how great this band's drummer is.... He can play complex stuff, but to me his sense of rhythm is lacking.... To a degree where it becomes disconcerting.... He doesn't have the dynamic explosiveness of the best either....In regard to the album itself, the music seems too monotonous.... I actually prefer "Lateralus" so far.... (Although I've often liked albums that I didn't like at first-listen.)
The sonics are excellent, however.
