Get Exodus' newest ... Shovel-Headed Kill Machine. Besides being probably the best thrash CD in about 15 years, it's a very good recording also. The double bass drums are the clearest I've heard in a long time.BTW, if you've heard old Exodus this one is much heavier and tighter. Doesn't sound like them at all.
Killswitch Engage's The End of Heartache isn't bad for a metal recording. And it's also one of the most well-written thrash releases ever.
Metallica's Black album is a good recording. But don't get their latest - St. Anger - because it sounds like Lars is playing a trash can lid.
