The sonics on that series isn't the best. A better bet is the Jerry Garcia Band releases that Rhino has put out. The "After Midnight" (1980) set is the best sounding, but I think the "Don't Let Go" (1976) set has better playing. You should be able to find these at your local record/cd store.
